Making Memories in Florida

After being unable to leave Australia for two years due to COVID restrictions, I appreciate the possibility to travel so much more.

The past six weeks with my parents in the USA have been incredibly heartwarming. I definitely feel like we have made up for "lost time" together. My three kids have had time to do regular, everyday things with their grandparents...

Like cooking...

Making memories over the dinner table (or around the campfire)...

Sewing and crafting...

Spending time outdoors...

Enjoying tea parties and table tennis...

Reading books and having tickles before bedtime...

Watching sunrises and sunsets...

Sharing memories of relatives and meeting some, too...

They have also been blessed to have a number of non-everyday experiences...

Like going to Manatee State Park (where my parents also took me as a child ❤️)...

Climbing the Pensacola lighthouse...

Visiting the local turtle conservation centre and walking on the pier...

Exploring the Florida State Caverns and going camping...

Seeing an early 1900's school house and the Indian Temple Mound Museum (Fort Walton)...

And, a big highlight, going to Disney World!

It's been a precious opportunity to spend time with family, learning and connecting, that I will treasure forever.

And I think they will, too.
