Pensione Trento

Pensione Trento means “guest house from Trento (a place in Italy)” which is the hostel where we are staying in Venice. This is the WORST place I have EVER stayed in. It is bad because of these 5 things.

Shower

When we arrived, the manager gave my mom a shower handle. My mom asked what’s this for? The manager said you need this when you have a shower. You use it to push side to side and up and down to turn the water off and on and also to control the temperature. Why wouldn’t you just replace it?! Otherwise nobody will come back.

Windows

When you try to close the curtain, I think it is an old mechanism, with a rope and pulley system. It is really loud and hard to pull. You don’t want to pull it too hard, otherwise it will get stuck. When you are closing it, you don’t want to let it go too fast because it will come crashing down and it will probably break.

Heating

At least we have a massive heater in our room… except the heater does not work. By the way, this room was last inspected in 2011. I wonder why everything is broken? The heaters in Europe are an old model that uses hot water pipes. The heaters in Australia I think are a much newer model. The Australian heaters use an air-conditioning system that can blow both hot and cold air. But the one in this place can only do hot and it is much slower and less efficient.

Spring Bed

When Dad told me to go to sleep, I said “yes” because I was pretty tired. When I lay down I said to Dad, “I can feel the springs in the bed” and I asked him to come over and feel it because he did not believe me. He said “sure” so he felt it and he said “wow that is really bad” and then to be nice he said that he would sleep in my bed and I would sleep in his bed. Thanks Dad :)

Old phone

Inside all of the rooms there is a phone on the wall, yay. But the phone doesn’t even work, boo. Also half of the whole hotel can’t even access the free Wi-Fi, because the Wi-Fi thing does not have enough reach. The Wi-Fi password is 1234567890123456. Bro! Did you even watch the episode of BTN about having a safe password.

If I wrote a review on this hotel, I would probably give a generous 0.8 stars. You’re welcome.
