Walking up the Eiffel Tower
View from the top |
After the show, we were going to walk up it but I saw a guy recording himself doing freestyle soccer, juggling, and doing around the worlds and stuff like that. So we stayed there for about 15 minutes. We took a few photos. Then mom, Cora and I went to go wait in the lines so we could walk up the Eiffel tower.
About to start the climb |
When we got through the first line, there was no problems. When we went through the second line, we didn't know where to go and the person who helped us pointed to the wrong line. So we ended up waiting for 20 minutes in the wrong line. Then we got into the right line and we waited another 20 minutes and we finally got to walk up.
On the first floor I bought a beanie because my ears were really cold (in Washington DC I dropped my beanie accidentally and lost it). There was a shop and a restaurant.
We walked up over a thousand stairs to the second floor where you couldn't walk anymore so we took the elevator to the top floor. It was very cold especially on the top and it was windy so that made it worse. The elevators were cool because you didn't press the buttons to go up or down, there was a guy controlling it. It felt faster than normal.

Sacré-Cœur |
We saw all the places we had ever been to from the top of the Eiffel tower like the Sacré-Cœur (the church near where we stayed) and the fountains below.
Surprisingly while walking up I didn't get that tired. When we were going on trains up till then, I decided to walk up the stairs instead of going on escalators so my legs would get stronger and I think that helped. We went on a lot of trains so I had a lot of training.
It definitely didn't feel as long walking down as walking up. I'm glad I walked up and didn't just go on the elevator the whole way up because we got to look out whenever we wanted to. If you got on the elevator it would just be up and down, but we got to enjoy the sights that we could see while we were walking.
Nice Paris beanie Save!
