Barcelona Soccer Game
My brother and Dad came with me to the Barcelona vs Celta de Vigo soccer game on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou stadium. In this blog post I am going to be talking about the stadium, food that we had, the score, the cheering and the game strategy.
The Camp Nou stadium is the biggest stadium in Europe and the fourth biggest stadium in the world at this moment. But it was definitely not the nicest one we have set foot in. The Cowboys stadium and the stadium in Paris were both much nicer then the Camp Nou stadium. In Camp Nou the seats looked old and it didn’t have an overhanging roof. In the Dolphin stadium, the Cowboys stadium and the Paris stadium they all had overhangs so you would not get wet if it rains. Paris was my favorite stadium.
The food that we got at the game was hot dogs, one packet of chips, water, sprite and ice tea. The hot dog was pretty good because the bread was really soft and not sweet. I do not like sweet bread. The bread had some flour on it and normally bread with flour on it is higher quality.
Before the game started we predicted what the scores would be. Zorion guessed 3-1, Dad guessed 2-1 and I guessed 2-0 Barcelona winning. Zorion ended up winning the competition so the score was 3-1.
While the fans were shouting for Barcelona I joined in a little bit. That was fun. They were shouting “drum hit drum hit drum hit Barson!” Other stuff that they started singing was old songs like “the entertainer” Grandad Derek’s favorite song.
Back to the game. Something that I noticed, was that Barcelona was doing the same play over and over again. The play that they were doing was passing the ball to the right winger, he would run it down to pretty much the corner and then tries to cross it in. If no one is really marking him then he tries to score himself. This worked twice. I think that the best player was the number 7 because he was the right winger that ran all the way down and crossed it in. When he was running there was a few people chasing him and he got past all of them pretty easy and megged (this is when you kick the ball through their legs) one of them with his awesome skills.
To end this blog post my favorite thing was shouting with all of the Barcelona fans :). Goodbye and have a great week.
