Roma vs Bologna

A.S. Roma is the home soccer team of Rome. Who would have guessed?

Their logo is Romulus and Remus drinking milk from the mother wolf. To me though, it really looked like a rhino instead of a wolf because it's grey and the back ear looks like a horn.

The symbol is popular all over Rome. We've seen it a lot of times, like on statues, police cars, buildings, and souvenirs. We had already learned about Romulus and Remus from our history curriculum called "Story of The World." We listened to the audio book lots of times when we were in Townsville. The story was that there were two brothers who were lost and a wolf took care of them. Then they grew up and created Rome, but one brother killed the other.

When we were on our walking tour of Rome, we saw Palentine Hill where Romulus wanted to start building Rome.

We went to a soccer game with A.S. Roma vs Bologna on Sunday night. The overall score was 0-0 so it wasn't as exciting as the P.S.G. game we went to in Paris. I think the teams were evenly matched so they didn't score. It was still exciting in a way because you were sitting on the edge of your seat because there were a lot of close moments and you didn't know who was going to win. There was one Roma player who had three shots right in front of the goal but he missed all of them. He was so close though!

We left a little bit early so we wouldn't get caught up in the crowd. Pretty much every other parent was doing that, too, so all the kids and parents were leaving. It was still crowded though so we only got one seat on the bus home. Zorion and I split the seat and took turns.

The next day when Zorion and mom went out on a walk, they found these bobble heads of random people. In the middle of the photo you can see a soccer called Mbappe. That wasn't a player for Rome though, it was a player from P.S.G. that we saw when we were in Paris. I thought that was pretty funny. Bye!
